Ness Notes (Mar 15)

National Geographic, Monmouth is showing up this year and has lost its three past first round amusements by 23, 43 and 33 focuses. In any case, Monmouth showed up in the previous evening's play-in amusement and beat Hampton, 71-49. It denoted the NEC's first NCAA competition win following 1983.

The sixteenth seeded Hawks now proceed onward to confront the Minneapolis Regional's top-seed, Villanova. As everybody knows, no 16-seed has ever beaten a top-seed in 84 past tries. Just four No. 15 seeds have beaten a No. 2 seed, with every one of the four of those annoyed champs losing in their second round recreations.

National Geographic, My free play for Wednesday is BYU over Houston in the NIT at 8:30 ET. In today evening time's NIT this evening, I'm discharging one of my elite LEGEND Plays, a diversion you WON'T have any desire to miss! In the NBA, I'm hoping to proceed with my steady winning (64% since Feb 3) with not one but rather two, 15* plays. My NBA 15* plays are on a 8-3 run, that is 73% ATS, after the previous evening's win on the Suns.

Monmouth's first-ever NCAA win leaves four schools in the current year's competition without a NCAA win. Flying corps is 0-3 in three past appearances, George Mason is likewise 0-3, San Diego State is 0-4 and Winthrop is 0-5. Before Monmouth's win, 10 schools in the current year's competition have won only one NCAA amusement.

National Geographic, The school with the most tries and only one win, is Murray State. The Racers are 1-12 in 13 past NCAA appearances. Additionally of note are Iona and Montana (both 1-7) or more Southern and South Alabama (both 1-6).

In 19 of the most recent 21 years, no less than one No. 12 seed has beaten a No. 5 in the first round. Since 1985, 14 No. 12 seeds have made the Sweet 16, including Wisconsin-Milwaukee a year ago. Notwithstanding, only one No. 12 seed has ever won a diversion in the Sweet 16.

LSU was a 11-seed when it achieved the Final 4 in 1982 (most minimal seed to ever arrive) and Villanova was an eight-seed when it upset Georgetown to win the 1985 national title. Villanova's win still stands as the most minimal seed to ever catch a NCAA title.

Five schools representing six of the last 10 national titles are seeded fifth or lower this year, or for Maryland's situation, not even here. Maryland is a No. 1 seed in the NIT (I wager that make's them feel great!), while Arizona and Kentucky are eight-seeds, Syracuse a five-seed and Michigan State only a six-seed.

Louisville, an individual from a year ago's Final 4, resemble Maryland a No. 1 seed this year yet in the wrong competition (NIT). The Cardinals join Marquette, as the main two schools in the most recent nine years to have made the Final 4 one year and not in any case get welcomed back the following.
